DMCA Policy and Copyright Notices
LiveTV Guide is an editorial publication that publishes textual broadcaster directories, subscription pricing information, and editorially-curated fixture listings sourced from a public sports data API. We do not host video, audio, or playback of any copyrighted material.
If you believe content on this site infringes a copyright you hold, you may submit a takedown notice in accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA), 17 U.S.C. § 512.
How to submit a DMCA notice
Send a written notice by email to [email protected] containing the following information, which is required for a complete DMCA notice under U.S. law:
Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, with sufficient detail for us to locate the original work.
Identification of the material on this site that you claim is infringing, with a specific URL and a description of the content at issue.
Your contact information: full legal name, mailing address, telephone number, and email address.
A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use of the material is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law.
A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in the notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or are authorised to act on the copyright owner’s behalf.
Your physical or electronic signature.
We typically respond to complete DMCA notices within 48 hours of receipt. Incomplete notices will be returned with a request for the missing information.
How we evaluate notices
LiveTV Guide publishes textual material. Most DMCA notices we receive are misdirected — they are aimed at content this site does not host. When the claim is against our textual material (an article, an excerpt, an image, an editorially-curated fixture listing), we review the claim on the merits and take action within the response window above. We have removed editorial content in the past where the copyright claim was substantiated, and we will do so in the future where appropriate.
When the claim is against material we do not host (a video stream, an audio broadcast, a third-party platform’s content), we will respond by clarifying that the material is not on our service and direct the complainant to the appropriate platform.
Counter-notice procedure
If your content has been removed or disabled in response to a DMCA notice and you believe the removal was the result of mistake or misidentification, you may submit a counter-notice to [email protected] containing:
- Identification of the material that was removed and its prior location;
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good-faith belief that the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification;
- Your name, address, telephone number;
- A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of the federal court in the district where you reside;
- Your physical or electronic signature.
Repeat infringer policy
In accordance with DMCA § 512(i), we maintain a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, the access of users who are repeat infringers.
